We understand that YoungSponge is the opposite of a safe choice. We don’t have a lot of money, we don’t have a brand name, we don’t have previous experience with signature athletes. But a safe choice is just that, a safe choice. Why gamble on us?
As a small company we can’t function like Nike or Adidas we can’t just sign an athlete and they wear our product. At YoungSponge we make our athletes a part of the process. From first ideas to development to production we use athlete insight and feedback to create a true signature shoe for our athletes.
YoungSponge is at the forefront of innovation in the performance footwear space. Our shoes are 100% 3d printed, our shoes are designed in Virtual Reality, and our shoes produce zero waste. Working with a young and innovative company that is authentic with their products is the image that you want athletes to have. Our commitment to staying at the top of innovation and finding new ways to produce footwear paired with our promise to make our athletes truly one with the process, is what makes YoungSponge different. A safe bet is a safe bet and there is nothing wrong with that, but we want to disrupt the footwear space.
Who we Are
Hi my name is Matthew Leverett, I am 16 years old and Founder and Ceo of YoungSponge Shoes. What we do here at YoungSponge is find new and innovative ways to produce top performing footwear. We explore all options that will ultimately create the best pieces of footwear, and we think of new processes to enhance our abilities. We commit to using 3d printing to enhance our footwear as 3d printing allows us to do more than previous injection molding footwear manufacturing. Using 3d printing we can keep our shoes light and flexible and give us room to explore customization to each user. As of now we currently operate out of my parents basement in McLean Va, and handle all manufacturing in house.
